Thirteen Years Later ...
It was in March of 1993 when these aspiring Electronics and Communications Engineering students obtained their engineering degree and bid farewell to their Alma Mater to start a new chapter in their lives. The five years of college was a long journey yet it was a worthwhile experience having been shared with motivated, talented, highly-intellectual, and good-hearted individuals.
And then, here we are, thirteen years later. Not much has changed. We still share the same spirit, though we already have been through different journeys.
I'm sure that to all of us who were there, it will be a memory to cherish, a memory that carries the hope of another gathering in the near future. I can still hear the echoing laughter amid the stillness of the night. We didn't give a damn, that the neighborhood was in deep slumber. Bad Santa was there anyway, and that didn't help at all. The trick of the numbers indeed overwhelmed these number-eating geniuses. Who got the lucky number 13? Who bagged the priciest gift? Wait, who took the electric fan, when Theresa's mother wasn't watching? Were there some good stories shared?
So for those who didn't come, all I can say is that we had fun, and we wish that next time when we hold another gathering, you'll take time to join. It will be good to remember the sweet old days. Peace!
